THE NAB SHOW

For the past four years, the NAB Show has hired Team Lightbulb to produce three or four day conferences that bring telecom and broadband services providers to this important annual event.  We developed the content, secured the speakers and managed the operations of these very successful conferences.

This new conference brings together business, creative and technology experts for an in-depth exploration of innovative trends in the consumption of entertainment across all platforms, devices and applications.   Whether you are a seasoned professional or new to broader-casting, this is the place for you.

 

Team Lightbulb is coordinating sessions for three different tracks:

  • The Business of Media Track uncovers the strategies and business models behind digital media.

  • The Creative Track is designed for entertainment professionals eager to take advantage of the options provided by new technology.

  • The Technology Track puts the spotlight on the standards, applications, and devices that are driving the distribution and consumption of content delivered by telecom, cable and wireless broadband providers.  

 

Telecom2009: Broadband & Beyond

Telecom2009 brought together carriers and technology providers to explore content creation, acquisition, management, protection and distribution.  

  • The Business of IPTV:  27 sessions targeted the needs of business and technical professionals from telecom, technology suppliers and enablers.   

  • Telecom Technology Papers:  40 presentations designed for engineers and executives interested in learning more about next-generation video and voice technologies.

  • Marketing Workshop: Understanding Consumer Behavior:  This 3-hour workshop explored what is necessary to compete and win the battle against cable and satellite.

  • Broadband Convergence Fundamentals Workshop:  This 3-hour workshop explained the fundamentals of the collision and convergence of video and data networks, including the differences between the access technologies

  • NexTV Latin America Workshop:  9 session provided an overview of the Latin America market, focusing on how broadband penetration and the Internet explosion.   

  • Guided Tours of the Exhibit Floor:  Tours showcased the content lifecycle.      

 

Telecom2008: Building Your IPTV Business 

Building upon the conferences the Lightbulb team coordinated for the NAB Show in 2007, we produced four tracks under the umbrella of Telecom2008.  

  • The Business of IPTV:  16 targeted sessions explored the needs of business and technical professionals from telecom, technology suppliers and enablers.

  • Telecom Technology Papers:  30 presentations targeted to engineers and executives, presentations explained how technology benefits any broadband video business. 

  • IPTV – It’s About the Content:  13 sessions explored how to create and acquire new content to develop competitive services. 

  • Telecom Crash Course:  Telecom guru Steven Shepard presented innovative ideas for successfully managing legacy and next-gen networks.

  • Guided Exhibit Floor Tours:  These tours showcased the ITPV ecosystem . . . from video production to distribution to the consumers’ homes.

  

Telecom2007 

Team Lightbulb was hired by the NAB Show to develop and manage four-days of sessions that explored the business and technology issues of interest to IPTV and broadband video businesses.    

  • Broadband Video Conference:  15 sessions explained how to enable and advance video distribution over next generation networks. 

  • Telecom Technology Papers:  26 presentations by leading industry professionals provided focused insight into the latest technological advances.

  • Telecom Video Production Crash Course:  8 demonstrations explained the basics of video production and how to prepare video for distribution over your network. 

  • Exhibit Floor Tours:  These guided tours showcased the technology required for IP/Broadband deployments.
