Telecom Technology Papers: Call for Papers

 

We are looking for the complete range of telecom and broadband topics to be explored, including:

 

1) Issues impacting IPTV/broadband video deployments

2) Broadband applications, including gaming

 

3) Unique ways that fixed and mobile communications are converging

 

4) Evolving wireless technologies such as WiMAX, Long Term Evolution and other wireless advancements

 

5) VoIP and other new voice applications

 

6) Disruptive technologies for the telecom and broadband industry

 

7) Behavioral advertising, deep packet inspection, and network management technologies

 

8) Technologies designed to take advantage of the recent changes in the utilization of the "white spaces"

 

 

Details on submitting a paper:

 

1. The Telecom Technology Papers will be held for three days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, April 20-22).  We can only accept fewer than 50 papers of very high quality.

 

2. Paper submissions should focus on cutting edge telecom technologies with a special emphasis on video distribution over telecom networks, wireless and wireline or the integration of the two, disruptive technologies, VoIP, deep packet inspection, network management, etc. 

 

3. Pure product pitches will not be accepted for presentation.

 

4. The target attendees for the Telecom Technology Papers are technology professionals from telecom carriers/network operators/service providers and telecom technology suppliers, enablers and integrators.

 

5. Paper presentations are typically PowerPoint™ images accompanied by a speaker presentation.

7. Authors presenting at the Telecom Technology Papers must sign a speaker release form and indicate that the appropriate copyright clearances have been secured for any copyright protected content included in their paper and presentation.

 

8. Accepted Papers will have 20 minutes, including Q&A, for the presentation at the conference.

 

9. All presenters with accepted presentations will receive a complimentary registration for Telecom2009 , NAB Show keynotes and super sessions, and access to all NAB exhibits.
